June 7, 2026

Rockville City Councilmember Adam Van Grack joined residents, families, first responders, and community partners yesterday at the 2026 Rockville Neighborhood Health and Safety Day at Main Street Connect, located at 50 Monroe Place in Rockville.

Hosted by the Rockville City Police Department and Main Street Connect, the free family event brought the community together for meet-and-greets with first responders, interactive safety demonstrations, emergency vehicles, live music, health and safety resources, and giveaways. The event highlighted the strong partnerships that help make Rockville safer, more connected, and more supportive of residents of all ages and abilities.

Councilmember Van Grack delivered welcoming remarks at the start of the event. He spoke about the importance of Main Street Connect to the Rockville community and thanked the organization for its continued work creating a welcoming and inclusive space for individuals of all abilities.

Councilmember Van Grack also recognized the outstanding work of the Rockville City Police Department, which is nationally recognized for its community engagement, and thanked the Rockville Volunteer Fire Department for its constant presence and support at community events throughout the city.

“Neighborhood Health and Safety Day is a great example of what makes Rockville special,” Councilmember Van Grack said. “It brings together families, first responders, community organizations, and neighbors in a way that strengthens public safety, builds trust, and celebrates the partnerships that keep our community strong.”
