Expanding Linkages to Learning at Twinbrook Elementary School
October 6, 2026
At Monday’s meeting, the Mayor and Council approved the expansion of Rockville’s Linkages to Learning Partnership at Twinbrook Elementary School, bringing additional services and support directly to Twinbrook students and families. I was particularly pleased to support this important expansion!
Montgomery County is providing an additional $100,000 to expand the program for the 2026-27 school year. The funding will support a new full-time Family Care Manager dedicated to Twinbrook Elementary, along with programming, supplies, client assistance, and other services for families.
Rockville has already been providing partial Family Care Management services at Twinbrook for the past year and a half. With Twinbrook now officially a "Linkages to Learning" School, the expanded partnership will allow a dedicated Family Care Manager to help families identify needs, access case management, and connect with community resources. It will also allow the City's existing Family Care Manager to return full-time to Maryvale Elementary, strengthening services there as well.
Linkages to Learning connects students and families with important resources including health and mental health services, educational support, and assistance with needs such as food, housing, utilities, and access to other community programs.
Investing in services that help students and families succeed is an important part of strengthening our neighborhoods. I am truly thankful for Rockville’s continued partnership with Montgomery County and MCPS to bring resources directly into our school communities and make it easier for families to get help when they need it.
