Passing the buck' is not a strategy. Wootton High School is just the latest casualty of a problematic school infrastructure funding system in Montgomery County that is seriously failing our students, staff, and communities. Twinbrook Elementary School and Magruder High School are similarly suffering.

As I wrote today in an Opinion for Bethesda Magazine & Bethesda Beat: we can do better, and there are ways to fix the system. The finger pointing must stop. Until the MCPS Board of Education, County Executive, and County Council stop passing responsibility and start sharing accountability, these problems will continue... and our students will continue to pay the price.
