National Night Out Returns to Neighborhoods Across Rockville on August 4

July 30, 2026

On Tuesday, August 4, neighborhoods throughout Rockville will come together for National Night Out, one of our city’s best community traditions.

National Night Out strengthens the relationships among residents, neighborhood organizations and the Rockville City Police Department. Participating communities host block parties, cookouts, games and activities that give neighbors an opportunity to spend time together and meet the officers who serve their communities.

This year, National Night Out events are planned throughout Rockville, including:

  • Woodley Gardens

  • College Gardens

  • Rockshire

  • Horizon Hill

  • Twinbrook

  • Fallsmead

  • East Rockville

  • King Farm

  • Potomac Woods

  • Lincoln Park

  • Fallsgrove

  • West End

  • Mt. Calvary Baptist Church

  • Roxboro Estates

  • Ellwood Park

  • Monument Park

  • Burgundy Estates

  • Willow Leaf Way

I have enjoyed attending National Night Out celebrations throughout Rockville in past years and have seen firsthand how these events bring together families, neighbors, police officers, first responders, and community organizations. Gatherings in communities such as College Gardens, Woodley Gardens, Rockshire, Horizon Hill and Fallsmead demonstrate how strong neighborhoods are built through personal connections and a shared commitment to one another.

Rockville is fortunate to have an incredible police department that makes community engagement a priority throughout the year. I am grateful to the RCPD officers and staff who devote so much time and energy to visiting neighborhood celebrations, speaking directly with residents and building the relationships that help keep our city safe.

National Night Out also gives residents an opportunity to ask questions, learn more about public safety and connect with officers in a positive and informal setting. That type of engagement strengthens trust between our police department and the community it serves.

Residents seeking information about the National Night Out celebration nearest to them may contact: Cpl. Ronnie Crowe at 240-314-8974 or rcrowe@rockvillemd.gov

I everyone will join their neighborhood celebration and help continue this wonderful tradition of community, partnership, and public safety!
