Councilmember Adam Van Grack joined Maryland Comptroller Brooke Lierman and state and local leaders today to celebrate the opening of the Comptroller of Maryland’s new branch office in Rockville. Councilmember Van Grack participated in the ribbon-cutting ceremony welcoming the office to its new location in King Farm.

Located at 800 King Farm Boulevard, Suite 105, the Comptroller branch expands convenient access to in-person state services for residents and businesses throughout Rockville and Montgomery County. The office can assist taxpayers with filing returns, identifying unclaimed property, applying for available tax credits. and navigating other services provided by the Comptroller’s Office.

“This new Comptroller’s Office is a welcome addition to Rockville and will make important state services more convenient and accessible for our residents and local businesses,” said Councilmember Van Grack. “I was pleased to help cut the ribbon and welcome Comptroller Brooke Lierman and her team to King Farm. Rockville is proud to be a place where government agencies, employers, and community institutions can establish roots and effectively serve our entire region.”

The new Rockville location is one of 11 regional offices operated by the Comptroller of Maryland and the fourth new branch office opened during Comptroller Lierman’s tenure. The office began offering in-person assistance on July 13.

The opening also reflects Rockville’s importance as a centrally located economic and governmental hub in Montgomery County. By bringing services closer to the people and businesses that need them, the new branch will help reduce barriers, improve customer service and strengthen connections between state government and the community.

Councilmember Van Grack congratulates Comptroller Lierman and everyone who helped bring the new office to Rockville and looks forward to its many years of service to residents and businesses across the region.
