Last night, I was honored to introduce a proclamation recognizing this week as National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week and celebrating the incredible public safety communication officers and staff of the Rockville City Police Department.

As I stated last night, these dedicated professionals are often the 'first' first-responders coordinating critical information and ensuring that our police and fire personnel can respond quickly and effectively. Their work often happens behind the scenes, but their impact is felt across our entire community every single day.

To our Rockville public safety communicators: Thank you for your professionalism, your compassion, and your unwavering commitment to keeping our residents safe. We are deeply grateful for all that you do.
